Judy Watson Napangardi, born around 1935 in the remote community of Kintore in the Northern Territory of Australia, she was a prominent Indigenous artist renowned for her vibrant paintings that reflect her rich cultural heritage as a member of the Pintupi people.

 One of Judy's most prominent Dreaming’s is the “Mina Mina Country” Judy’s homeland on the border of the Tanami and Gibson desert in Central Australia, it is a place significant to Napangardi and Napanangka woman, who are custodians of this dreaming.

Judy captures the essence of this story through intricate patterns, vibrant colors, and dynamic forms, inviting viewers to engage with the cultural significance embedded in her paintings..

Sadly Judy passed away in May 2016
