Dreaming: This the story of an important rockhole site called Wirrulunga which is located in an rocky outcrop where Ningura was born at Kiwirrkurra. The site is associated with birth and with rituals significant to the women of her Country. They often twisted hair into ceremonial skirts while at the site.

Outside Australia.
International Shipping - New Zealand. We offer fully insured shipping via the International courier network, or Australia Post for small works. The GST is displayed on all prices on the Palya Proper website, however on entering your NZ address the Australian GST will be automatically deducted and your shipping rates will be displayed.
All other International Shipping. Palya Proper Fine Art has shipped work around the world since 2007 using the safest and best rates possible. Please use the Enquire Button on the page of the work you are interested in for a specific quote by providing your city, post code and country.
Delivery Times.
International delivery times vary by country, but generally arrive within two to three weeks of collection from the Gallery.
Goods & Services Tax (GST).
Prices on the Palya Proper website include 10% Australian Goods and Services tax which we are not required to collect on works shipped out of Australia.
We will advise the reduced artwork price when we return the shipping quote to so you have an accurate total price.
Duty and Import Taxes.Please note that import duties, local taxes and customs charges are the sole responsibility of the receiver. Our designated courier will handle clearance and will contact you regarding any customs charges due prior to delivery. About The Artist
Ningura began painting by working at her husband’s direction, dotting the background of his works, and then in her own right following the 1996 Kintore Women's Painting Project. She had her first solo exhibition in 2000 and participated in the prestigious Kintore Women's Painting for the Papunya Tula retrospective at the Art Gallery of NSW.
Ningura's status as a premier artist was cemented when she was chosen as the sole female desert artist among eight artists to have their work incorporated into the architecture of the acclaimed Musee du quai Branly in Paris which opened in 2006. The Museum features Ningura’s women’s story on the ceiling of the first floor. In 2003 Ningura was one of five artists to have her artwork featured on a range of Australia Post international stamps.
